The international flair could already be felt at the champagne reception at Foyer. “The Award goes to….” was the motto when the winners of the European Textile & Craft Award were presented in a festive setting.
The European Textile Academy (ETA) created the Textila Award and hosted the gala at the Walthrhaus in Bolzano. RAI journalist Anna Zangerle hosted the evening and there was excitement in the air. Who will receive the trophies, which incorporate a piece of fabric from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris that was wrapped in 2020 based on the idea of artist Christo? The Textile Award honours special achievements in contemporary and traditional craftsmanship, as well as artistic professions and their connection to the world of design. An international jury of leading experts selected the winners. The renowned Italian fashion designer Roberto Capucci was honoured for his life’s work.
